| Founded in 1937, the Soldier Township Fire Department is staffed by 4 full-time officers, 6 part-time officers and 29 part-time firefighters. The department currently operates out of one fire station located at 600 NW 46th Street, providing fire protection and emergency medical care to 13,545 citizens in 63 square miles or northeast Shawnee County. The department responds to approximately 850 calls per year. |
