Ashland Fire Rescue
Ashland is located nealy 180 miles west of Wichita. It is south of Dodge City in southwestern Kansas.

Ashland Fire Rescue provides fire suppression and rescue services to a population of nearly 875. The response area includes 660 square miles in Clark County. It has 21 members and responds from one station with 11 apparatus. They normally average 30-40 alarms per year. Due to the extreme drought, so far in 2011 they are above 60 alarms.
